How much for teens to charge for snow shoveling?

I just had a kid ask me to do my drive for $20- $15. I had him do the sidewalk in front and to my door and gave him $20. Her was fast and it looks good. I'm lazy and feel bad when I see footsteps through my snowy sidewalk, so I think this was well worth it.

I'm afraid you were ripped off. It's in the 40s with no snow.

And if you are posting from somewhere else it's probably not relevant to DC area norms.

$100 - I don't pay by the hour or by the person, I pay by the job. With a 6" snow storm it takes me 1.5 hours to do my driveway. It's worth $100 to have someone else do it. I don't care if it's a plow or six kids - it's $100.

personally I don't really like the hourly rate as if someone was slow what could normally take 1 hour they would make it stretch out to 2 or 3 hours just to get more money.. I think a reasonable amount should depend on how much to shovel like perhaps 20-25 for a driveway (within reason of size approx square feet) and maybe a little more including a walkway of say

Depends on the amount of snow and how much shoveling. I'd pay $50 if it is like 6" of snow.
