| I had two friends who did pregnancy photo shoots, and sent them to me, and while I thought they were nice, it's nothing I would ever do personally. Honestly, I have only so much room to display photos in my house--I have family photos, wedding photos and photos of my first child. Pictures of myself pregnant are not a priority. |
|
I also wish I had just one picture of me pregnant. But I was so ashamed of being pregnant that I didn't take any pictures of myself for nine months.
I also did not take a picture with my baby until he was about five days old, and I didn't do newborn pictures. I really wish I had done newborn pictures. |
| Nope, didn't do this, don't regret it one bit. There are pictures of me while I was pregnant, no need for a photo shoot. |
| I wish I had more regular pictures of myself while I was pregnant. I've seen lovely pictures of pregnant women, but most of the pregnancy photo shoot photos I've seen seem pretty cheesy. |
| No regrets. I did take weekly pictures myself, though. And some pictures when we were out and about. We took some pix on my due date which was fun. And some pictures when we were walking the Mall, hiking, etc. But otherwise, nothing fancy. No regrets. |
| No, for some reason I find them sort of vulgar. Especially the weekly growing bump shots, I really hate those. Ugh. |

I did them after I got a maternity photo shoot as a shower gift. I thought it would be weird, but ended up loving them as they are not very cheesy and just seem like nice photos my husband and I have of ourselves. . The main reason I did them was to remember what I looked like. I was glad to have a few professional photos instead of the terrible day-to-day ones I had. I only have one photo of my mom when pregnant with me and always wanted a few more
Also, I know most people don't want birth photography but I regret not having a photographer during my labor for my first. I come from a family of photographers so maybe it is just me. I was so happy that our doula snapped a few as the baby came out. I treasure those photos. But, then again, I have a number of friends who say they've never looked at their birth photos or video. To each their own on this! |
| I regret it a little bit. My husband and I tried to take some casual pictures but we were really bad about remembering to do it. |
| I have a snapshot of me, dh and my grandma when I was 8 months pregnant that I treasure. Just take a bunch of pics with your phone. It's nice to remember that time but no need to get professional photos! That is overkill really. Newborn too. |
| Not professional photos, but I regret that we didn't take more candid photos of me while I was pregnant. |
| I do not regret not having those pictures done. Save the money for pictures of the kid when he is born. |
| Never did them. Don't regret it at all. |
| Didn't even consider it. No regrets. |
|
nope. I did get my hair cut a week before delivery so that I didn't look a wreck in the amateur hospital photos!
I think these photos belong in the category with expensive photos for graduating high school seniors - a new and ignorable trend that is profitable for photographers. What are you planning to do with the photos in the long term? Do you see your descendants three generations looking at these? |
| It occurred to us in the delivery room that we'd never bothered. We took a couple of quick ones with the iphone before the action started. |
