+2. Mine are princess cut. I like the clean lines.

Is this going to look ridiculously tiny? FWIW, I have smaller-sized earlobes and hair/features, and typically dress very simply with little jewelry.

They will look pretty small. I would save the money and just buy a nice pair of CZ from Nordstrom.

This is not normal.

Wow, there are a lot of people out there able to drop $2K on earrings!

Plus, if you are prone to losing earring as I and many of my friends are, it is not as big a deal to lose a CZ earring as it is to lose a diamond one.

10 ct per ear but I rarely wear them out for obvious reasons.

I wear very small studs. Large diamond studs are ostentatious.

I have a pair .55 and a pair 1.35. I get far more wear out of the smaller. I've had the .55 since my 8th grade graduation and I'm just about to turn 43 if that gives you any indication about how much I enjoy them and get use out of them.

Large diamonds are rarely worn as stud earrings - normally chandelier, or "drop".

I would call 1 ct or 2 ct for a "stud" large and ostentatious.
