Acupuncture for infertility--did it work for you?

So for those stating that a cycle with or without acu was better or worse, my question for you all is how long were you doing acu? If you were doing it for less than three months I don't think you can really attribute any effect on your cycle to it. At least as far as its impact on egg quality. With respect to the pre-and post transfer acu - if that's the only time you did it I really don't think you can attribute a cycle not resulting in a pregnancy to it.

My acupuncturist told me the same thing. She also mentioned that some studies say that acupuncture can increase your chances about 10%. So it can help, but it's not a guarantee.
For my first IVF cycle, I had started acupuncture with a clomid cycle, then did what my acupuncturist called "IVF" prep, and then treatments during the actual IVF cycle. My IVF cycle resulted in a BFP, my son is now 2 years old.
I didn't do an IVF prep for my second cycle in early 2015, as we didn't want to wait. That cycle was a bust. Took a few months off during which I continued with acupuncture treatments and herbs to get my hormones and cycle back on track. Started my third cycle in October (stopped herbs but changed my diet), best retrieval results yet. I don't know if it "worked", but I think it "helped", especially with my egg quality. I also think it helped with the side effects of the medications.

Ok but, Just to clarify, she's not an RE or MD, but in fact a tcm practitioner/ acupuncturist , so doesn't it seem likely she would have this opinion?

Correct. She is a TCM doctor, trained in China, but also trained in western medicine. I posted her information because it might encourage previous posters who do not believe that acupuncture can improve egg quality.

I can't really say conclusively, and I never got a satisfying diagnosis for my fertility problems anyway so who knows. But I definitely credit acupuncture with giving me a consistent, normal-length cycle for the first time in my life, and I have to think that helped me get pregnant.
