My small agency has an early afternoon party (usually 1-3), with early dismissal afterward. We have the food catered and then people bring in desserts, with prizes for the best home-baked desserts.
We pay for the party through donations. Most staff members give $10-20, and the senior staff give larger donations. It's a fun, relaxed time, and most people attend. |
| My office can't do anything because everyone started hoteling at the end of November. Prior to that we were in the office more. Most people are here only once a week and have to share cubicles now. |
Probably African American! We throw the best parties. |

For Thanksgiving, we did a potluck in the building. Attendance was decent and the food wasn't bad. Our Chief and Deputy bought the turkey.
For Xmas, we're going to an off-site restaurant with a lunch buffet. There will be a gift exchange (bonus points for those who bring booze or lottery tickets, although I'd die if the blowhard in the next office won $4M off my $2). Attendance is pretty good. |
But white people can dance. (Insert video of Elaine Benes dancing at company holiday party) |
