Arlington, VA - summary of candidates' positions?

He has said AH shouldn't be the first priority, and if we are going to do that- it should be in mixed income housing, not 100% poverty.
The master plan that was just voted on aspires to place 22% of the county's subsidized housing on Lee highway.
It's going north. McMenamin would like to see it implemented better than what has happened in south Arlington.


No one in the south has said they want farm's rates higher in the north just because. They just don't want additional future housing dumped in their over burdened schools.

Please stop using the words "dumped" and "crammed" when describing people. It's callous. These are individuals with hopes and dreams, who are just trying to make a better life for their families, same as us. Any disgust or ire we have should not be directed at them, but rather at our elected officials and county staff who have not engaged in best practices and have not served the interests of our neediest families nor the best interests of many kids in APS in S Arlington.

I just reread most of the last two pages and I didn't see anyone talking about dumping or cramming people, just dumping and cramming AH or affordable housing.

I meant no disrespect to the people. I want more of them in my northern zip code. I meant disrespect for the master plan.

And yeah, with 88% of the votes counted, it's Dorsey and Cristol on the Board. Oh well.
