| The simple thing to do is to let her know that the bracelets are noisy and you find it distracting. No need to involve a supervisor. If you do, he/she will wonder why you didn't try to fix it yourself first. |
| While you're at it; why don't you just ask her to stop breathing. I'm sure the constant sound of air filling her lungs just bugs the hell out of you. It's not like your uptight self centered ego ever does anything annoying. |
| this is what keeps you up at night? |
You're joking, right? Bracelets is something you would discuss with your boss??? |
Everyone who works in open offices should be wearing noise canceling headphones. |
| Or get some white noise machines for your space. |
|
There is nothing per se unprofessional about wearing a bracelet. I wear a Medic Alert bracelet and there cannot be any argument against that.
If this individual -- one person - is making too much noise, ask her politely if she could detach her bracelet. In other words, this one person is the problem, not all jewelry. |
| Let's start a list of all items we wants banned. Or better, yet, let's cut to the chase. Everyone must come to work in hospital johnnies and paper shoes. |
Everyone has to use one of those emergency chemical exposure showers, too, with industrial soap, lest anyone's toiletries have any lingering scents |
|
OP, just put in headphones and listen to some music instead of the jangling.
I totally appreciate how annoying it must be, but if you aren't comfortable mentioning it to her, you just have to suck it up. |
| OP, there's one surefire way to never have to listen to the noise again.......you can quit. |
|
What the fuck? Do you have misphonia?

| No, it is not unprofessional. Unprofessional was my old boss farting in my office and then calling me in to discuss a project with the stench still thick in the air while he picked his nose and looked at my boobs. I could deal with loud jewelry. |
