Admitting to popular movies that I haven't seen...what else should I watch?

I hate ET. It's such a terrible movie, especially for kids. They try to dissect ET, for god's sake!

Funny, the Notting Hill hater getting so worked up. I loved the movie. In fact I made a day of Notting Hill and Porabello St Market last year just to visit movie locations. Locals there love to talk about the movie too.

OP here. ET is such a terrifying movie. Those guys at the end and the quarantined house and the little boy in the bed with ET next to him?! Awful. Terrible movie.

Thanks for all of the suggestions!

As for Love, Actually...I love that movie as background noise at Christmastime. And how can you all think that the Hugh Grant parts are the best?!? They are the worst!

I have to agree to disagree on hugh grant-I loved the scene where he's dancing around the house and then the one where he sings Christmas carols and the little girls dance.

Although my next favorite scene is Colin firth with the huge crowd in Portugal.

"We're being buuuuuugged...the White House...."

The soundtrack is awesome, too

Yes yes yes. And I love when he proposes and they both speak in broken languages.

Sorry. I didn't read post all the way (true DCUM fashion) I named a classic that I also haven't seen that people are amazed by.

I'm always amused by the subtitles of what the crowd is saying "He's going to kill Aurelia." "COOL"
