You would be safer with if you kept your doors and windows unlocked every night, ditched the alarm, and divorced your husband.
I am dead serious. Your chances of someone in your home being hurt by your husband's gun are far, far higher than the chance your house would ever be burgled or you'd be hurt in a home invasion. (For the record, we lock our doors at night, but rarely lock them otherwise if we are home, and certainly not if we are just in the yard. Your DH's paranoia is unhealthy and it's going to hurt your kids. The world is not that unsafe. But he is.) |
14:57, what neighborhood do you live in? |
I think the husband has been attacked before and wants to be prepared in case... |
I agree with this. Most home security stuff is a scam / waste of money that exploits your fear. The biggest dangers are those we face every day and not the boogie man hiding in the shadows. |
Amusing how most (if not all) of you have obviously never been violated. |
Op again, he is still like this but we have discussed taking it down a notch |
Or is involved in some shady business on the side and has reason to believe the house will get broken into by people looking for something specific. |
+1 Get far away from someone like this. Yesterday. |
