Help! Raw ground beef in crockpot for chili?!?!

So it turned out really bad. Burnt on the outside, kinda raw in the middle, weird consistency, and the beans and veggies burned. DH learned his lesson. We got Chickfila for dinner!! Thanks everyone.

Thanks for the update. I was wondering about that slab of ground beef, I couldn't quite picture how that would work. Sounds as though he didn't add any sort of fluid to it either.

Ah well. I think this sort of thing has happened to us all at some point. Glad Chickfila came through for you!
