U530 or flex 3 would be some I would consider.... touch screen, i7, 8gb ram. Its not static drive though

Thanks for all the suggestions. I ended up purchasing an "open box" mac at Best Buy. It was originally $1000 and was knocked down to $770.

I purchased the insurance, but not the Microsoft Office Suite; looking for a deal.

Does your job particoate in the Microsoft Home Use Program (HUP)? I've been a few places where I've been able to get Microsft Office for $10 thru the HUP.
