Where do you hide an extra key?

My husband bought me a magnetic key holder years ago. I keep it underneath the car. $4 dollar security.

Steal your car, rob your house. That's a pretty obvious place to look.

Because there are hundreds of thousands of houses, so if you want to try to find pp's grill with the key under it, you go right ahead and be everyone's guest.

Millions of houses! Let us know how it goes!

A good hacker (or Jeff) could find out where you live. Hasn't anyone learned anything from the AM hack? Anything you post online can be traced back to the originating computer.

At the neighbors' house.

I don't think this is a good idea. Car break-ins are easier then house burglaries. You're just giving criminals an opportunity to break in your house.

We have a garage with a keypad that we can get into.

Previously when we were in a condo, we hid the key in the carpet on a different floor in a spot that only we knew. We got locked out A LOT! The door would lock behind us automatically and we often forgot while walking the dog. After 5x of paying the lock out fee, we came up with that solution.

In a lockbox hidden in a close neighbor's shed. They do the same.

This is the dumbest post ever. You're feeding valuable info to thieves.

Jeff can't see the exact location. He knows if you're in Maryland and if you have verizon or comcast, for example.

Still, many thousands of houses.

Thieves look for threads like this.

There is nothing in this thread that thieves (or even a moderately intelligent non-thief) doesn't already know.
