When i was online dating some guy contacted me. He was about 400+lbs (not exaggerating) and also live a good distance away from me (like 60+ miles). I very nicely told him, "Thank you for contacting me, but I don't think we are a match". I got back the most vile, hateful response. So not only was he very, very obese, he was an asshole--great combo, I'm sure the girls will be knocking down your door to date you.

Check out https://www.reddit.com/r/creepyPMs/. Lots of women have to deal with this bullshit, constantly, and it sucks.

At least we can all get together and laugh at them though!

If the guy is totally into you in a blind love sort of way the only way you can reject the guy and him not feel rejected is to die tragically in some sort of accident. Aside from that I have absolutely no idea. lol

Oh, gosh. Definitely gonna have to arrange that then. Wouldn't want a dude to have to deal with hurt feelings!

PP here.

I am not advocating...lol...just stating that's the only way I know. However...the 'guy' needs to grow up so just be direct and let him deal with it.

No. The guy needs to learn to control his emotions and realize that he isnt entitled to female attention or time

This thread makes me think of all those poor (mostly) Indian and Pakistani women who have acid thrown in their faces for turning down marriage proposals.

It's scary.

She didn't write this article.

Swing and a miss...

Not really, she allowed herself to be interviewed and provided her tweets and messages.

good grief, you do go on don't you?

How many women have been killed for rejecting a guy? Male entitlement is dangerous.

Agree that whoever the author was, making a sweeping generalization about all men based on the way one man--and a geek at that--behaved is not exactly fair or appropriate.

Back to the original question--the reply about the boyfriend was appropriate. Immediately blocking him on FB and Twitter before he had a chance to respond was overboard and what set him off. Not saying he wasn't a nutjob that required that, but she could have at least waited to see if he backed of and toned down before blocking him. Then, it he continued to make her uncomfortable, she could have blocked him.

I felt the same as you initially, but then I went back and read the original message he sent her on facebook. It gave me a bad vibe. He was trying to be funny..but I think some of the nuttiness sneaked through. I think maybe she just felt put off by it, realized their original connection was pretty weak and decided to just rip the band aid off so to speak.
