If I have a towel that gets smelly, obviously it gets tossed in the laundry room to wait for the next load. If I see my kids wipe their dirty faces on a towel (because they're pigs) I will toss it in the laundry. If I'm working with raw meat that causes me to wash my hands a lot, I'll retire the towel to the laundry when I'm done. When I'm low on clean dish towels (although I have a lot of them) I will run a load. If I'm washing other towels in the house, I will throw in the dirty dish towels as well. I like to wash them in hot water. |
I go through at least 5 kitchen towels a day including small ones. I have an abnormal fear of contamination. Usually a wet towel gets tossed in the wash and replaced many times during the day. My husband laughs about missing towels. |
Since he has problems with all the standard solutions I think it's up to him to figure this out. |
We never have wet towels in the kitchen. After cleanup, the towel goes directly into the wash. |
?? You never wash your hands in the kitchen except when you are cleaning up after a meal? Or you use the towel once each time? |
