By that logic everyone should rob banks and rape because they need stuff not available to them.

Oh my god, it's actually not at all like that. Marriage is a specific relationship from which people may reasonably expect to be treated with interest and respect - some people aren't.

No it's not murder, but it is abuse.

You need to find yourself a dictionary.

I thought DCUM was addictive. I can't imagine how much time I would spend looking up people in that database.

It is emotional abuse and an abuse of trust. There are all kids of abuse--not just physical.

And just about anything a person doesn't like can be called "emotional abuse" -- the concept is so, so squishy.

NP here. I'm pretty sure the bank didn't profess vows to love and support you always. Denying intimacy and attempting to force your spouse to be celibate is abusive.

So then you end your relationship. Or, you discuss having an open relationship with your partner.

There is zero justification for cheating. It's the cowardly way.

About 10 percent of Hill residents are registered on Ashley Madison, which married people use to find extramarital affairs, according to new data released by the website.

No other Ward 6 neighborhoods are among the 10 D.C. communities deemed “least faithful” by Ashley Madison. All of the areas on the list are in Northwest D.C., except the Hill, as the Washington Post first reported.

It can indeed be "squishy" but by any rational measure cheating is indeed emotionally abusive--unless of course, you are the cheater.

Unfortunately there will be exposure and quite a few broken homes. It's sad when people cheat.
