Believe me, I don't consider it a badge of honor! Doc and I have discussed, but unfortunately there are other health considerations. Childhood vax records are unclear, too. |
| I'm 38. I had chickenpox, but not mumps or measles. Growing up, most kids I knew got chicken pox, but no one I know got mumps or measles. I know I received the MMR vaccine as a child. |

40 and had chicken pox when I was 13. It was a miserable experience. Vaccinated against everything else. Don't know anyone (my age) who had measles or mumps. I'm sure I know people who were kids pre-vaccine availability but I don't know off hand whether my parents had them.

| 32 and had chickenpox. I am happy I have lifelong immunity. |
| 52. I had mumps and chicken pox. No measles but kids in the neighborhood had them. |
And now you can get shingles which I had 3 years ago, and it sucks. |
Me too, but I am 45. |
|
29. Never heard of anyone getting measles or mumps.
I did have chickenpox. I went to a chicken pox party where we all shared lollypops. LOL My mom knew I'd get it eventually, so she scheduled it in the summer when it wouldn't be as bad school or holiday wise. |
The mildness of your chicken pox is completely unrelated to your shingles. I also had shingles as a kid, btw. |
| I'm 33 and had the chickenpox in kindergarten. I remember the MMR vaccine beginning new and getting that and the booster, to avoid measles and mumps. My mom had measles as a kid. |
+1, and I'm 34 |
So can all the kids who have been vaccinated. |
