We did a lot of fishing at local places when my son was that age. He’d look at videos and we would find sports, we go shopping for lures, and go explore different areas. He was more into the casting and reeling it in and I liked being outside. We rarely caught anything and would often go out to lunch too.

He's been depressed because he's a lost his best friend and he doesn't have any other friends so all he wants to do is sit around and mope. I want to get him out and out of this funk.

I went through a similar situation with my then 11 year old son who is also not sporty. He was really into Cooking so we took a couple of cooking classes together and did a lot of cooking / baking at home.

I agree with cooking classes, fun and something helpful to learn. I'd also suggest GoApe, really cool outdoor ropes course place.

GL, I hope things improve for your son, seeing them sad is the worst thing in the world.
