selection data for HGC?

My child is in 8th grade and wishes to apply to high school magnets. Are those also completely test based? Any advice or thoughts to share for getting into either of the Blair magnet programs or the Richard Montgomery program? Not test prep, just process.

If you are currently at a MCPS it is to late. However, if you are anywhere else call MCPS and they will test your child.
