On iHeart (maybe on Pandora too), you can create your own "radio station" by seeding it with songs you like and giving thumbs down to songs you don't.

I thought of this tread/issue with the "insider" info a gossip columnist wrote ( and quoted in the thread about the Blakr/Miranda divorce). If it's true at all and Country tries to freeze out Miranda, add Taylor leaving for pop on Carrie taking time off for baby, wow, that' would be a sudden and huge hole in County radio. Carrie's queen I suppose, but hopefully big opportunity here for some newer female talent to rise up.

A site called http://www.renegaderadionashville.com/ does 12 hours straight every single Wednesday that is female artists only. I have listened and heard songs that I didn't know existed. "The Highway" on Sirius has yet to grasp this concept, and they are playing 90% male artists, and most of them are big names to begin with. WMZQ should play a few hours straight of female artists and people would tune in.

The genre has changed (thanks Shania), but women are not getting the airplay they deserve.
