| I've been both. I work mostly from a remote site and therefore without my colleagues much of the time but when I am in the office I tend to get along best with someone who is 27 and I am 34. So at least similarly peered but definitely in different phases of life right now in our case. She thinks the office drama and politics of higher ed is ridiculous and entertaining, and so do I- whereas most of the others are 30-55 and revel in it! |

| I think it's you and your embarrassment, not the actual age difference. 23-28 is not that big of a spread, and 25-28 is nothing. |
