I use a small bit (think nickel size or less) of my scents shower gel right before my final rinse and use the scents body lotion daily (over my barely there scent rich body lotion.)

If I am heading out I'll give a spritz of the scent, toilette or cologne.

Date night with DH, fancy events, special occasions I will lawyer (lightly) with everything, including dabbing perfume on the pulse points. Spraying a touch in my hair etc.

Don't worry it is not overbearing, you'd have to be close to catch the scent.

I don't think it is silly to wear it with a tee and jeans, I do all the time.

I also rotate my scents seasonally, but I really really like perfume.

lawyer huh? i agree that it's nice to rotate. I do the same with mine. I like wearing nice expensive perfume.

I won't be going down that road.

Right because anyone who wears perfume is definitely a walmart bag of half eating pudding cups away from hoarding.

Never. Not even once. Perfume makes me gag yucky

Absolutely never. Years ago I worked at a firm where they asked that, since so many people are highly sensitive to smells, people strongly consider not wearing perfume or cologne. Someone told me a couple of people there got migraines from it, and I stopped wearing it.

Haven't gone back to it almost a decade later. Don't miss it at all - I wear coconut oil, Ahava hand lotion, and my hair products have scents. The scent of coconut oil goes away after it dries, but the others linger if you get very close to me. There's really no need for perfume.

Need? How does that enter into it?

Every day. My husband buys me perfume (he's picky), and I'm happy to wear anything he buys.

Never. It makes me sneeze.

I'm 35 and I still wear Gap Om almost every day. It was/is perfection: light and good all year, but still basically incense and cinnamon, not floral. It is discontinued now, so I buy it for a ridiculous price on Ebay.

My "real" perfume for night/formal/cold-winter-coziness is Donna Karan Black Cashmere, which is basically an intense version of Gap Om. Unfortunately, it is ALSO discontinued (and the "reissue" is not the same), so I buy it on Ebay as well.

These are the only two scents I love. Everything else is a bit off or altogether cloying. The Black Cashmere and Om feel like me, and I love the dry-down in all its smoky, cinnamon goodness...

Every day, after I shower and dress. I also layer it with same scent soap, lotion etc. It is a very mild perfume, reacts well with my own chemicals and smells great and makes me feel put-together.

+1. I also just hate smelling other people and so don't make them smell me, either.

Unfortunately other people are still likely to smell you, your sweat and your breath, depending on what you have eaten / how frequently you wash / what your hormones are up to, etc etc
