Tell me about the University of Vermont

I know several kids whom have gone, and a few currently attending. Yes, there is drugs and drinking. Name a school that isn't. Pot seems to be pretty big. The setting is fabulous - great town, northern VT, clean air, all the outdoor activities you could want. If you like skiing, even the better. Definitely a granola, tree-hugger kind of place. Campus is pretty, and huge. Shocked that there were no underground tunnels connecting buildings, and that there is really no shuttle either. One student's advice: buy a very good coat, and be prepared to walk a lot.

I taught there. Unusual state school since the kids are mostly from out of state. Few truly stellar students. Some very good ones. Some serious stoners... Dregs of the east coast private school scene. Good at programs. Lovely location.
