| Honestly, it seems like getting married to them means making babies immediately. There really is no other reason and/or way. |
| Just realized she married a guy three years younger than she is. She's 22, he's 19. |
| Ben is younger, but he does seem mature; apart from all the lovey-dovey stuff, which is still cute between them. What does he do for work? Is it still working for her dad? |
He is working for her dad (whatever that means) and studying at a local community college. He says he wants to be a pastor. They live in the house owned by her grandmother. Given the low level of education and virtually no work experience these two have, along with having started a family at ages 22 and 19 and their aversion to birth control, I predict a grim future. The TLC gravy train will not last forever. |
What makes you sure of that? FTR, Josh's car biz was owned and started by his dad. |
| The Duggars are freaks. No different than carnival freaks decades ago who are will to sell their privacy for money. |
You're a peach. Pretty easy to spot the freak, here, sunshine. |
Oh, for crying out loud. They are young and can still pursue higher education or other training. Plus, Jessa is very pretty and could model or do commercial work on the side if she chooses to. Somebody should grab Jessa now and let her market their maternity wear and motherhood products; it could prove very lucrative. |
Yes, because these people are such fans of higher education.
Jessa would never model. It would not be "modest." |
| I'm not a Duggar fan but do not understand the intense hate of them. |
| There are models for many modest fashion sites (just not frum ones). I think Jessa is very pretty. |
Of course, they could do all of that. But they won't. They cannot pursue higher education. Maybe he could. For her? Are you frickin' kidding me? Or haven't you watched their show? If you honestly just suggested that Jessa go to college, well, bless your little heart. |
I certainly hope so for their sake, because it's not like they really have another choice. |
This. And don't give me "They discriminate against gays." The anti-gay-"shaming" bullying is way out of hand. They may have way more conservative views than I do on this, but it's not evident on their show. What IS is that they're strongly Christian, modest, and have many children. If that's deserving of a public flogging, maybe you should pay a bit more attention to 99% of our "celebrities" and then think again. |

I agree with a poster (I think on this thread-sorry, I can't keep up) that says they are really not all that different from the Kardashians at this point.
They basically are whoring themselves out for the cameras. And I'm truly appalled about the one that moved here to work for FRC - TLC and FRC made up a job for him that he isn't even remotely qualified for just to add interest to the show. |
