This. It is time to stop the war on men. You don't correct a wrong by creating a new one.

How is asking to for a statement of equality for all a war on men? So are you saying that equality for women poses a threat to men? Yes, maybe you're right. White men have relied on privilege and entitlement in this country for centuries. So you're saying that that shouldn't change.

And white women have relied on that privilege and entitlement as well (by being their husbands/daughters), while white MEN were the ones to die in wars and at work, while women stayed home with the kids. Who's more privileged? Who paid the higher price for America's success?

Any white, upper middle class or upper class woman who DARES to mention "privilege" for anyone needs to be smacked down, hard.

Wow. Just wow. You are a sexist and a racist. You completely make the argument for why there must be an ERA.

Just as sexist and racist as the PP a couple of posts earlier that ranted on about white men privilege. If you don't see the hypocrisy in that that is rich.

To not view white men as the privileged class in this country is sheer stupidity. You are fighting the facts. Do a Google search - you'll have a vast array of links to choose from.

. Do you support equality for all or do you want to create a new privileged class?
Anonymous
^^I support full equality for all, explicitly stated in the Constitution. Therefore, I support an equal rights amendment to the U.S. Constitution.

Then all we need is an amendment changing "men" to "people" anything more will create additional rights.

Racist. I want equality for all. And personally I think white women are even more privileged in the country than men.

There are two brothers, Joe and Bob. Their mother bakes a dozen cookies and tells them to share them. Joe grabs 10 and leaves Bob with 2. Moms comes in and tells Joe to share the cookies evenly with Bob.

Clearly Joe is persecuted here.

The solution is to bake another 8 cookies and give it to Bob. Or take 5 cookies and give it to Bob, and teach everyone how to share. Not take all cookies and give to Bob.

That does not include discriminating against white men or demonizing a certain subset of the population. Its just as evil and disgusting and racist. And even worst to impose that on innocent children and future generations that are no part of their forefathers crimes. You're not going to sway anyone who has some kind of humanity and sense of fairness to your hateful view.

I don't think there's any doubt that American white WOMEN are the most privileged and coddled people in the entire world. Especially if they're middle class or higher - society basically sees to it that they won't suffer any discomfort until they're about 40 at the earliest.

Yes, you said that earlier in the thread.

Yes. I want equality for all too. That's all the original post is about. Right now equality under the law is not included in the US Constitution. Both Ruth Bader Ginsberg and Antonin Scalia agree on this point?
