sucessful pregnancy in your late 30s? How long did you try?

I had my first at 35 (conceived at 34 on the second month of trying) and my second at 36 (10 days shy of 37, conceived on the first month of trying). Didn't use ovulation tests or anything either time.

Two months at 38, one month at 41.

1st pregnancy: 3rd month trying at 37.
2nd pregnancy: don't remember, was 39 and had an early miscarriage.
body took a while to come back online after miscarriage, but once I was regular again,
3rd pregnancy: 1st month trying at 40.

At 34 got pregnant after 4 months, diagnosed missed miscarriage at 8 weeks. Took 3 months off. In another 3 months we got pregnant and had healthy baby girl a week shy of 36th birthday.

Starting trying at 37. Went to an RE before I turned 38. Did a few rounds of unsuccessful IUI.

Then took a break, did a lot of traveling, and dinners and a lot of partying. Got pregnant on my 13th wedding anniversary. We were surprised, but thrilled.

OP here. Sigh, we're out for this month. I do use the OPKs and have a very regular cycle. But, in addition to being old, our schedules are awful right now and we're not managing to have sex more than once or twice around my LH surge, which I think might be the real issue.

36 yrs old...tried for approx. 7months. I think preseed and fertility acupuncture both helped. Try not to worry, the stress doesn't help the situation...easier said than done, I know!

13 months of perfectly timed sex charting, temping, fertility monitor, opk, some acupuncture and everything else under the sun short of ART. Got pregnant at 33. Starting to TTC for #2 at 35.

I'm 36 -- Got pregnant at 34 after two months of trying, miscarried at six weeks. Waited three months and once we started trying again it took about six months. Had our baby at 35. We're trying again now, it's been two months. We're timing my fertile week based on dates and cervical mucus, which is what worked last time. Then just having tons of sex for that week (if not every day then at least every other day). Hope it will happen soon!

I'm not in my late 30s, but my experience has been:

6 months TTC with #1 at age 30
4 month TTC with #2 at age 34

But we were WAY more concerted about it with #2 -- did OPKs, temped, etc. We didn't do any of that the first time around.

1st try at 35, then miscarried. 1st try again at 36 3 months after MC. This week is our first week trying at 38 and we haven't had much sex as we did when trying for #1, so I imagine it will take longer.

Two months of trying at 38, easy pregnancy, healthy child. I'm now 42, been trying for the past 2.5 years...took 1.5 years for first bfp. Two miscarriages later, I'm now working with an RE.
