Do tell why.

I voted against it too. It stinks and the second-hand smoke is dangerous. You'll disagree on the "dangerous" part, I'm sure, but my kid has been struggling with neurological problems and it's the last thing she needs in our neighborhood... and certainly not in our apartment building. Pot smoke is an imposition on everyone nearby, not just in the same room.

I understand your concerns, but this new legislation does not mean people will smoke more. It means people won't go to jail for it. It means the police and courts will focus on real crime.

Again, there will not be more weed smoking in DC than there already is. The Dutch smoke less than we do.

If they're sativa they won't be good for growing indoors.

Also, if they're more than a year old they're likely dead.

Oh yeah - they are like 10 years old. Nuts.

Don't tease.

Two ballrooms on Capitol Hill are already reserved for a pot expo on Feb. 28. A date for a massive marijuana seed giveaway is in the works for early March. Some are planning “cannabis clubs” with membership fees and access to the plant. Others hope to offer high-end catered dinners cooked in marijuana-infused oils; recently, an underground test dinner was served a mile and a half north of the White House.

I've been smelling it more in my neighborhood over the last few months of non-enforcement than I had over the course of the last decade. Maybe it's just because fucking Eidinger lives nearby.

What neurological problems? I've actually been prescribed marijuana (I don't take it - clearance) for my neurological disorder.

I wish they would. The smoke is what's offensive to non-smokers.

Not PP, but the Netherlands has a 5.4% use and US has a 13.7% (annual pervalence).

+1
You want to smoke, a-ok by me. But I don't want to smell it anymore than I want to smell cigarette smoke.
