I would agree at this age and as long as you've been trying, don't waste time but go straight to considering IVF. Stats only go so far and perhaps you will be one of the lucky ones who still has high-quality eggs. It doesn't hurt to try a cycle so you can see what you get (well, expense aside, I know). FWIW, I am 41.5 and am currently 9 weeks pregnant with healthy (knock wood) twins, my own eggs, first round of IVF. Apparently we just needed to get the eggs and sperm into a Petri dish so they could find one another. I wish you all the luck in the world!

Those granola people are always annoying! Not everyone doing DE is telling the world about it. DE is much more common than you might think.

I did, well 35 weeks now. DoR and AMH of .01. I was ready to move to DE when I hit my one and probably only golden egg at 41. I probably always had lower AMH. Lots of onlies at older ages, no children or adoption through out my family. Genetic testing came back at risk of 21 year old. I consider myself very lucky. I did do acupuncture, lots of supplements and healthy fats. I consider it a blessing but do I no way think this is unique. Good luck to everyone, may you find peace on your journeys.

Your friends could have very well done donor eggs without your knowing

I did DE and no-one on the planet but my husband and my medical team knows that my pregnancy wasn't the result of my own eggs.
This is extremely common among DE patients.
