I speak French, but in this case it's being used in English. In English you talk of the bourgeoisie (as did Marx ie the upper classes) and you describe something or someone as bourgeois. |

went to GIANT on Wisconsin ave, the one that recently reopened -- there are guys standing by the elevator who follow customers out of the store, open the car doors and of course expect to be tipped.
Went and got 3 croissants from a small cafe. Swiped my card which asked me how much tip did I want to add. There was no opting out, so I pressed the "other" button and added "0" dollars. I guess it's their way to make customers pay in cash. |
