I do think that's a little weird. Is it possible that one of them works late and comes home in the middle of the night, so they want to leave the lights on all night for that reason? Is it possible they have a young child who doesn't sleep at night, so they are up doing things? Does one work nights and is up in the middle of the night even on days off?
Are you positive the lights are on ALL NIGHT? Have you looked at midnight, 2am, 4am, etc.? Just curious. Maybe they are just night owls and go to sleep later than you do? Or maybe one works from home and works with overseas counterparts or something on a different time zone? There are lots of options, but it's impossible to know why it's happening without asking. I do think there's an element of MYOB that needs to be involved here. But if it's really disturbing, you could broach the topic kindly. Maybe one of the kids is home alone until later at night and is afraid, and the parents don't realize it or something (i.e. teenager is home alone until later at night). |
| I left lots of lights on all night- and the TV- when DH was deployed. I wanted to give the impression that someone was awake. I agree with the posters who say there is a reason so tread lightly. And curtains are an easy fix. |
