Did you have success at getting pregnant through CFA?

We had twins in 2012. Donor egg. CFA, Dr. Sacks.

I'm rocking my 4 month old son right now. Conceived with CFA - Dr. Sacks. I primarily used the Arlington office and loved all the staff there (except for the billing ladies, who never seemed to be very good at their jobs).

I hated when I had to go to the DC office, though.

I saw Dr. Sacks for two yrs through six cycles of clomid/injectibles + timed intercourse and IVF#1, which failed spectacularly esp. given my relatively young age. He's a nice guy, but he lacks urgency and didn't get us the results.

You're young, why would anyone jump to IVF? Define failed "spectacularly" please.

Its not like she just jumped into ivf. She did several clomid rounds first.

I'm young too and I'm doing ivf next month. Never had any evidence of conception in almost 2 years including some iuis so why waste my time doing something that isn't working? Maybe it'd happen eventually but maybe not then I'd be in the same spot with older eggs.

Thank you for coming to my defense!! Yes! The 1st judgmental comment is certainly not appreciated, but I'll respond out of the goodness of my heart. I have recurrent pregnancy loss and have MC upwards of 5 times--clearly this indicates severe chromosomal abnormalities. IVF#1 failed "spectacularly" bc I requested to do PGS and he said we didn't need it...yet. He underprescribed doses, did not put me on menopur or estrogen, we only had two blasts to transfer, and none of them took. Walking away from your 1st IVF with nothing to freeze is a horrible hell that I hope you never have to experience.

I'm young too and wasted a lot of time and money doing IUIs when trying for #2 and we were just told it may not happen for us because my eggs are compared to a women aged 40+
Sorry you had a bad experience with Dr. Sacks. This whole infertility crap just sucks

He is not a board certified RE. Just saying.

I got my bfp from an FET cycle a few weeks ago. I did an immune/blood clotting issue protocol with Dr. Abbasi. I left SG and took my embryos with me. Dr. Abbasi is not warm and fuzzy, but she took what I had to say seriously and I really appreciated her straight forward professionalism.

Run. Far far away.

CFA was terrible. They forgot to prep my husband's frozen sample for an IVF cycle.
