Thug kitchen

The profanity is dumb, but why does it bother you?

Are you trying to make the recipes with your 10 year old or something?

So that it will seem edgy and people will throw money at them.

Never seen the picture. They look like a cologne ad in Men's Fitness. Real thuggy.

Reddit loves it. Gwyneth Paltrow thinks it's hilarious and good.

Two more reasons to hate it.

So it will offend the prudes.

Yes the book is for those who wish to eat and cook more healthily and maybe even have a vegan meal that taste good, but are put off by the seriousness of cooking book, food snobs and cooking terms. The recipes are easy to follow, easy to make and are very good. The people who are offended by the phases like "mix that fucking shit up so there are no big clumps" are missing the point. They are snobs and miss a lot of things in life.

So you loved it before?

Love it! Bought it for my 10 year old DS, to encourage him to love cooking.

Why are they so stern?

I have this cookbook, and I enjoy their facebook page too. I just don't think it's cultural appropriation and to think that being a "thug" or cussing is what makes up a culture is actually more offensive to the people who are "offended" by the title and naughty words.
