I get it... but I am ok to miss an hour in the park to save $2000. We will still be there at rope drop. I am even ok to spend $15/day to park if need be. We'll probably make that up with eating every breakfast in the condo, as well as a couple dinners I would imagine. |
Me too I cannot imagine that as we spent more than half that. I would have to be going first class all the way. |
| there is so much culture and history you could experience as a family thru travel, and to drop that kind of money on disney?? unreal. |
It depends on how you look at it. We saw culture and history and many other things. |
This is OP. Seems to me that at age 3-8, culture and history will be lost on a kid and Disney is going to be lots of fun for everyone. We're going to be in Florida anyhow for a family activity and it seems like a good time to have an extended disney vacation (we went for a weekend in February). That said, am I prepared to drop $7500 on a Disney trip?? Probably not... which was why I posted the message originally. Fact of the matter is, me being me I'm going to do the research myself to find the best value and probably won't end up booking through an agent in the end. I'm guessing we can probably get it below $3k-$3500, which, while still pretty expensive, feels pretty reasonable for a fun week long vacation. |
You can go to Disney for $1500 a week (not including airfare) and stay inside the park. If people choose to spend more money that is their issues. As far as culture and history, not every vacation needs to be about that. If I want to have fun with young kids, Disney is the place to be. |
