I beat genetics. Just happened to turn out that we had generations worth of bad habits passed down. My entire family is fat, sick and nearly dead. I can hardly handle the holidays any longer. I leave feeling ill. The amount of blood pressure, diabetes, and statins they're on is hard to even keep track of. They alone keep the Wal-Mart pharmacy in business and the taxpayer paying. All on disability. Too fat to move.

Cut out the processed foods and sugar and add more fruits and veggies. Exercise more often. Things I've been reading about for years but always poo-pooed because I was thin... well major health crisis a few months ago and I have the motivation to keep to the above, which is saying something because I was addicted to junk food. If I can do it, so can you!

Avoid food that comes in boxes, and walk more places than you ride. Let the chips fall where they may.
