thrombosis, 27 reports of lupus, 23 reports of blood clots, 16 reports of
stroke, and 11 reports of vasculitis following Gardasil vaccine given alone
without any other vaccines. There are three to six times more fainting or
syncope reports after Gardasil vaccination than after Menactra and there have
been 544 reports of seizures following Gardasil and 158 after Menactra (73
Menactra-associated seizures involved co-administration with Gardasil).

Thye were comparing Gardasil with Menactra because Menactra is another vaccine given to girls at about the same age.

Woman/teens/girls starting the Gardasil series are also more likely to be starting hormonal contraception-likely explaining most if not all of the reports of thrombosis, stroke, and blood clots. Lupus is much more common in woman than men and often diagnosed in adolescence/young adulthood.

Additionally, Menactra is given to both males and females so comparing the two has inherent bias.

HPV has done a serious number on my life. I contracted it when date-raped senior year of high school and had to have the cone biopsy and cryosurgery, plus paps every six months for years to make sure it didn't cause dysplasia again. The trauma from the procedures made my cervix "incompetent" so when I became pregnant with our first child at age 30, I almost lost our baby and had to stay on bedrest for 2 months to make sure I didn't deliver prematurely. For our 2nd child, I was on bed rest for four months and had to have a cerclage (stitched-closed cervix) to keep the baby to term. The consequences of contracting HPV are serious, real, and may affect your daughter's life forever. I will be having my daughters vaccinated.

Harper: Controversal Drug Will Do Little To Reduce Cervical Cancer Rates

Dr. Diane Harper, lead researcher in the development of two human papilloma virus vaccines, Gardasil and Cervarix, said the controversial drugs will do little to reduce cervical cancer rates and, even though they’re being recommended for girls as young as nine, there have been no efficacy trials in children under the age of 15.

Dr. Harper, director of the Gynecologic Cancer Prevention Research Group at the University of Missouri, made these remarks during an address at the 4th International Public Conference on Vaccination which took place in Reston, Virginia on Oct. 2-4. Although her talk was intended to promote the vaccine, participants said they came away convinced the vaccine should not be received.

I don't know. I plan to learn a lot more about this vaccine, before concluding it is safe or effective, personally.

My pediatrician recommends we get it for my daughter before she leaves for college or earlier if she becomes sexually active.

No! Most HPV viruses are cleared up naturally and most people don't even know they have it. {No symptoms, etc}

Most people with HPV do not develop symptoms or health problems from it. In 90% of cases, the body’s immune system clears HPV naturally within two years

Of course, they give you the "what can happen", but MOST people don't have those symptoms.
So why 'vaccinate" against something that your body NATURALLY clears up itself? THINK PEOPLE! Stop making money for the drug companies at the expense of your children's lives, safety, and future health! I honestly don't think anyone knows the major complications that can happen from this vaccine. They are already ignoring deaths from girls taking it.... what else are they ignoring for profit?

Also with yearly pap smears, it prevents any abnormal cells from getting to 'advanced cervical cancer". It isn't like Ovarian Cancer where you don't have a yearly screening to prevent it before it is advanced.

what are the side effects of the vaccination?
I am asking this because I know a girl who is 16 now but She got vaccinated like 1 year ago and since then she became moody and told me the she felt sick after she got vaccinated and also have fever for many days ... I was sad to hear that, so it would be nice to know what could happen if you get vaccinated....

What does your pediatrician have to say about the fact that alead researcher for the vaccine stated that she thinks the vaccine will do little to reduce cervical cancer rates?

If the people who actually developed the vaccine believe that -- why are people so eager to marketthis vaccine?

To 13:48. Most people would recover from the measles without any complications, too. It isn't about the average case.

Your logic is flawed. You have to be pretty stupid to put chemicals inside your child's body for something that doesn't make a difference and infact in some cases does harm. It IS about the average user! Why should we be forced to put harmful chemicals with unknown side effects into our tiny babies? Where is the "logic" of getting vaccines for things that your body NATURALLY heals without complications and 90% of the time also NO symptoms?
