Longterm Heavy Binge Drinking - How Does It End?

Really stupid question here, but in searching for a post on alcoholism I found this post. My DH drinks essentially the same amount ... about 12 beers and one 750 ml bottle of booze a week. But the bottle of booze is drunk across three or four nights rather than all in one night. I have always viewed that amount as a bit high, but not dangerously so given it is drunk across 7 days. My friend suggested otherwise, which is why I am here asking.

Does the difference of timing across the week change the potential health issues?

Have you considered leaving him? I would do whatever I could to protect myself financially and make sure I wasn't responsible for his care.

I would not enable him.
