I really hope my child's teacher is kind and capable.

DD had a yeller in third grade. Other parents were complaining about it. I asked my DD if teacher yelled. She responded "yes" but "only at the kids who needed it".


Op of this post. This teacher turned out to be one of the best teachers my daughter ever had. Other parents may disagree, but she accomplished a lot--of course, this was before SOL's--just before.

It tells you that they shouldn't be in the classroom and tenure shouldn't protect them at the expense of children's education.

VA teachers aren't eligible for tenure.
