DH is an a$$hole driver

Anonymous
I was shocked to find out what an aggressive driver my BIL is when he drove my mother, my sister (his wife) and me on a wild ride through the streets of NYC. My sister told me later that she and her (grown) kids have been on his case for over two decades to be a safer driver. That stunned me, too. Wtf? After that one ride with him, you can be sure I will NEVER be a passenger in any car he is driving unless he makes serious changes. In my mind, my sister has enabled him all these years. Asking him to drive safely for 20+ years and nothing changes? Why did she ever go for a second ride with him? My mother has now told me that my BIL has often driven her around the DC area unsafely. She didn't want to make waves by saying anything.

I think we all need to take a hard stand against aggressive driving, especially if there is an aggressive driver in our family. Just say no. Get out of the car. Find another way to get where you need to go - bus, taxi, whatever.

Seriously, I know I'm Debbie downer but try as a mom dealing with your friend who lost a child in a car accident. All because of reckless, a$$holish driving. Tell him to get a grip. I don't want it to be my child he rams into as we head to the beach. Just don't see the humor in this.

To the guy that holds his wife hand . . . LOL!

He, eh, he. LOl until you or your kid gets hurt or killed in a car accident. LOL!!

Calm down, OP. I explained why I thought their posts were funny and I in NO WAY condone aggressive driving or texting while drive OR talking on the phone while driving. Calm yourself.

NP here.

I just pretend that I am getting nauseous and getting ready to throw up all over the leather seats. That calms DH down.

Bob dear, is this you?

Lol. My husband just grabs my phone and puts it out of arms reach.

Because if he didn't you would text while driving? Wow.

I posted earlier about a video going around FB of the horrific aftermath of a multi-car accident caused by texting while driving. I am still haunted by it hours later. Nothing funny about it - none of the injured were "lol"-ing. Truly horrifying. Put down your f-ing iPhones!
