Everyone I've dated has said I'm one of the most laid back and fun people they've ever met. I'm not judgemental, but I had a bad experience with the guy. Sorry if my not being cool with my boyfriend drinking 12 glasses of wine in a night, routinely, makes me seem judgemental. When I was with him, I wasn't sure if he had a problem. Looking back, I think he did. Just trying to share my thoughts with op who sounds similarly unsure. |

I didn't see before that he had 12 glasses of wine in one night before.
IMO, that's bing drinking, and is excessive, unless he's at bachelor party or just won the lottery, or something. |
That's 3 bottles of wine in a night. Are you saying he finishes off 3 bottles of wine by himself in one night, routinely? Yes, that sounds like a problem to me. |
Yes, but I'm not the op! Sorry! I was just trying to give her examples of problem behavior. Hope she will return and explain why exactly she is concerned. |
That's good......so what's the problem? |
If you're the OP, you didn't mention 12 glasses of wine in a night. Yes, that is excessive and a red flag. |
Puritan history... USA has a history of out of control drinking. Why do you think prohibit was passed? As for your stats, Europe does have a drinking problem and if you are drinking 3-4 drinks a day you have a problem. |
http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/alcohol-trade-must-act-on-uk-drink-problem-or-face-government-action-9131084.html Yes yes the UK....just sipping wine at dinner ...we should look to the Europeans on how to handle alcohol.

That's the UK, not all of Europe, idiot. |
He. He.
