Dinner gift for super fancy WASP family

Something tells me this family has guest towels. Also, taking them out could be expensive. If they have a nice home, they probably don't eat out much. I'd buy liquor. Wine, cognac, something like that. Have fun! It's gorgeous!

What about wolfermans English muffins and a sampler of jams from American Spoon? I like to bring "breakfast" if I'm staying over and you can have it arrive a day before you. I also like Zingerman's bake house sampler or 10 pack of brownies. You can also have a local florist sent an arrangement. I always call my MIL's local florist directly instead of an FTD bouquet that DH orders. The local florist knows her taste and makes something appropriate for my budget and the occasion.
