I loved last night's episode. Peggy was so casual about stabbing Dodd. I'm almost sad to see Dodd gone; the three of them interacting in the cabin was hilarious. |
+1 The beans! |
yes I was laughing so hard when she jabbed him with that knife I was weeping. So so so so funny, especially the look on his face ! |
She is great! The knife in the foot and breaking it off. She and the butcher are just so casual about everything. |
| Dodd tried really hard to impress upon Ed just how crazy Peggy is. He almost seemed genuinely concerned. |
| What the F? UFOs???? |
I think the ufos were searching out Ted Danson's new language. |
That's actually a really smart connection. |

Loved Season 1. Just finished Season 2 over the weekend. While it was strong, a number of touches just seemed self indulgent. The UFOs were very annoying and didn't add anything to the story. Furthermore, the obsession with Vietnam was absurd. In my experience, people don't talk about their service in wars and they wouldn't be talking about it in 1979 given that direct US military involvement ended in 1973.
I can see the one attorney going on about Nixon and Watergate because he was a conspiracy enthusiast but other than that, your average person would not be going on about Nixon. (FWIW, I was 24 in 1979.) However on another note - a really bizarre coincidence. I heard on Radiolab yesterday morning the story of Charles Bliss who invented Blissymbols and last night I saw the last episode of Season 2 and heard Ted Danson's character give the exact same rationale for developing his symbols. They had to have read about Charles Bliss, too, in developing this script. Anyway, it was the last thing I expected to see on Fargo last night. http://www.radiolab.org/story/257194-man-became-bliss/ |
bros before ho's. |

Not sure I'd characterize them as "bros". |
