How is this gutsy? No one in her family looks remotely bothered, shocked, or upset. They are all casually hanging out. Good for her if she wants to wear pants. Good for her if she wants to wear skirts. How about you stop being so judgmental?

I don't think you're understanding the point of this thread. I don't think anyone has ever seen a Duggar girl wearing anything but a skirt or dress, no pants or shorts. Ever! Duggar boys don't even wear shorts!

Does anyone remember the episode where they ran a race? They all had to wear jeans even when the trainer suggested that they wear something else. Or what about when they went swimming?

The fact that everyone on here is criticizing Jinger and the family is proof that none of you are fans. Even sadder to see people on a site called dcurbanmom trashing family values. Would hate to see the type of parents the rest of you are compared to the Duggars. Probably the ones who's kids still live at home at 30 and are too selfish to stop acting 20 for the last 10 years and refuse the procreate. We're better off anyway with people like that extincting themselves and their anti-Christian sentiments.

This made me snicker. Are you new here?

Certainly, the posters on this site value families, some in line with the Duggars and some in other ways. But the ones posting on this thread are not fans of the Duggars or the quiverful movement. You called that right.

So many possible replies but I think I'll stick with this: "extinct" is not a verb, let alone a reflexive verb.

I don't understand what "refuse the procreate" means either.

The girls wear pants sometimes, just not usually in the show. I think in one episode they talked about wearing them while working out, and I know they did for sky diving and there's a picture of Jill skiing in pants with her husband. My money is on little Johanna to really rebel as a teenager.

New all time favorite DCUM post....how did you find your way here?

I don't understand what's going here on threads like this and the whole Free Jinger thing.
Why are people rooting for any of the Duggar girls' rebellion/escape? Are any of you going to be waiting in the wings to walk "the rebel" through the transition? Did she or any of the other kids call for rescue? For better or worse, JB and Michelle are her parents. They care for her and provide for her. It seems really indecent to me to wish for a rift in the family just because you take issue with the way the parents do things. What is wrong with you people? It's sinister ...

If what the parents are doing is telling their daughters that they are lesser human beings because they are female, then I think MORE people should be hoping and praying for these girls to get out. It's abusive to restrict your child from meeting her potential because you do think it's "appropriate" for girls to be independent.

Everyone should "root for" slaves to rebel and escape.

I'm always surprised by how many of them have cell phones. And not just little cheapi flip phones either. They're mobile bill must be enormous.

They have plenty of TLC money, I'm sure they can afford the phone bills.

The family actually owns a nearby cell tower and lease it to the service providers in the area. So they actually don't pay for service.

The world is better off with kids who are educated (it's whose kids still live at home at 30) and aren't brainwashed.
"Refuse the procreate" and "Extincting themselves"? LOL!

Or a Duggar scanning the internet with the required buddy looking over their shoulder.

That might explain digging up the old post, too.
