Where to live?

Minneapolis for sure, but that's where my family is, so I want to get back there. To the poster that said it's too gray and depressing, I disagree with that entirely- it is fairly clear/sunny in the winter. Of course, that has the effect of making it even colder, and it is damn cold, but not gray.

Phoenix or Calif, but not familiar with mountain view. 3rd place providence. No way St. Louis or Minneapolis - run down and cold and boring middle America.

Minneapolis, too damn cold. I lived in St Paul when I was a kid. Gray and depressing all the time.

Phoenix, no thanks. Too hot, I'm fair skinned and, well, I'm not 70.

St Louis? Isn't that the meth capital of the United States?

Minneapolis is "too damn cold" but Providence isn't? Okey dokey.

No weather extremes.

IME, the mafia kept violence and thefts down in Providence. No one stole from cars on Federal Hill, or from the connected landlords.

You've heard of that thing called the Gulf Stream, right? Not the airplane.

I'm from Phoenix. Don't go there. Seriously. Unless you love a complete lack of culture and extreme heat.

I thought San Diego was the meth capital. Maybe that was 15 years ago. Regardless, I'd pick San Diego.

Not a fan of Phoenix either. I visited in June, and it was 117 that week. Sundown didn't even bring the temps below 90. Dry heat be damned, it was ducking hot!
