When I see people applying to both Beauvoir and GDS. . .

We will apply to all the "best" because they are perceived to be the best. However, we are mindful of the numbers game, but feel that dd will do well at all of the schools. We will also apply to St. Patrick's. Yes, we felt that Beauvoir seemed more conservative, but given that it feeds to NCS (all girls) speaks of joy in learning, and has a lot of amenities, we plan to apply. In the all girl school vein, we will also apply to Stoneridge.

We are also mindful of the need for excellence and diversity. Thus, we will apply to Maret, GDS, Lowell, Norwood, and Sidwell. We went to Green Acres, but felt that it was too boy centric for us.

Though they are different in many aspects, the head of school at GDS is married to the head of school at Beauvoir. They are not opposites in any sense.
