How many kinds of fruits and veggies do you have on stock right now.

I have one of the longer lists above, I also have teenage boys who will eat everything, and I went grocery shopping today.

I had just been shopping for the week when I made my list. And I cook on Sundays, so a lot of my produce is now made into meals for later in the week (in the fridge or freezer). There are three of us, and I'd like for each of us to eat at least two fruits each day, so that's a lot of pieces of fruit on the counter on Sunday, but it's mostly gone by Friday.

Fresh fruit: apples, bananas, pears, strawberries, avocados, peach, mangos, grapefruit, lemon

Fresh veggies: lettuce, kale, tomatoes, cucumbers, celery, carrots, broccoli, asparagus, artichoke, sweet potatoes, onions

Plus a bunch of frozen options: more mangos, broccoli, green beans, peas

I shop once per week, on the weekend, so I'm fully stocked right now. I'll be down to a bare produce drawer by Saturday. I eat the more perishable stuff first (asparagus), and save the hardier stuff (kale) for later in the week.

I try to get produce 2-3 times a week. If I buy it all at once, some will go bad before I use it. Right now we have green grapes, strawberries, apples, bananas, brussels sprouts, broccoli, green bell pepper, garlic, onion (regular and scallion), tomatoes... and I think that's it. Oh, potatoes and sweet potatoes.

This thread plus the "eat the rainbow" one is making me feel bad.

I have an apple, two mangoes and a bunch of bananas. For veggies, I have spring mix, tomato, onion and avocado.

Clearly I need to step up my game.
