Well considering that rappers wear Ralph Lauren it's become a true prep brand. Understated.

Maine
No. At an NGO in NYC and an "art gallery" (tax writeoff) in London

A proper female prep will work in any of the following fields:
Auction House (esp. Sotheby's)
Gallery
Pre-School Teacher
At a magazine, ideally Martha Stewart
As an interior decorator

Oh god. It's not 1950. There are many preppy women that are doctors, lawyers, scientists. You don't have to be a dumbshit.
It's where you were born. Where you went to 'prep' school, university, etc. Times have changed, my friend.

Oh hells no. Do NOT make me sit next to another "interior decorator" senators' wife...please...

Preps are not interior decorators. They are interior designers.

Cosmos Club.
Camp at Valley Mill.
All the proper female prep stuff is off. I am one of your "subjects" and am a lawyer by training and worked with lots of your other "subjects." Now I am a SAHM.

Other preppy/privileged things were riding lessons, tennis, lacrosse for boys and girls before it was mainstream, art classes at Glen Echo/Corcoran.
Beach week at your parents house in OC/REhobeth, Bethany, etc--but it was owned and not rented.
Everyone has their own car.
Limos for every dance. Starting as a freshmen.

15:21 here again. And yeah, I was born at Sibley and so were my kids.

So many of these answers are so off! You guys are such a bunch of posers. So obvious you aren't from here.

Sibley has no status these days. It's a third world hospital...with hardly any private rooms.

Any woman with a brain delivers at GWU or GHU instead.

OC/REhobeth, Bethany is not/has never been preppy

Wow this thread is bringing back the memories of being inferior at HS because, sadly, my parents could only afford about half of these things listed.

I'm happy now to laugh about it. Thanks, PP's.
