How often do you see out of town families?

My parents live 1000 miles away (Florida). We see them once or twice a year, but we Skype them with the kids about once or twice a month. My MIL lives on the West Coast, but since she travels a lot, we manage to see her about 3-4 times a year. Siblings vary between 1500-3000 miles (yes, our family is spread out in Florida, Texas and Oregon) and we see them on average once/year. But we have all lived in our respective towns for over 20 years so it wasn't unexpected. This is what life dealt us for various reasons and we've made the best of it. That said, we end up seeing some family or the other about every other month, we just juggle who we see and where. Frankly, even that is about all that we have the time for as we have a number of other issues that take up a lot of our annual leave.
