25 High Schools - Rank Best to Worst

Anonymous
Frankly, it is threads like this that removes all questions from my mind as to why our HS students are having the emotional problems they are having. I am only surprised the problems are not yet more prevalent at the elementary and middle school levels. It is only a matter of time.

I'm a Lee graduate. I graduated from an Ivy, make a shitload of $ and own a home in Georgetown.

When will you assholes learn there is no 'best' school? I am doing a lot better than ex-travel teammates that were at some of the perceived elites listed. Some have yet to land a job. Another got booted from UVA for cheating.

Rankings mean shit. A smart kid can do well at ANY of the schools on that list.

Grow up.

You do know there's a very good chance the thread was started by a bored HS student facing yet another snow day, right?

Lee hasn't had a single National Merit Semi-Finalist for at least the past five years. What's up with that?

The point is . . . rank them the way you would like to see them.

I noticed that on all the lists attempted Falls Church High is ranked higher than Stuart. Is that really true? From the negative postings about Falls Church on this forum I thought it would be the opposite.

There is a large enough cohort of serious students in all the high schools named- so if the student is intelligent, motivated (for a teen), and well supported (at home), they will be able to find their niche. It may be easier to be in leadership positions in the "lower" ranked areas, but there will still be competition for those spots.

If the student has some special needs (in the broad sense, not just documented issues), there is some flexibility as all students can choose between an AP and an IB school. The student and his/her parents can determine which school may be a better fit.
