We're also BS parishoners. Many of our neighbors attend the school and they all rave about it. As far as donations go, I know one family was told last year that they should expect to contribute $20/week. We've also been told that we need to contribute something weekly before we apply, either in the envelopes or through Faith Direct, the direct deposit program they have. Time and talent don't seem to cut it (alone), but they can enhance an application.

I know that people love the community, but I really haven't heard anyone talk about stellar academics. We're undecided on whether we're applying there, but we have some time before DS goes to K.

As far as getting in chances, there were still a few K spots at the beginning of this current academic year due to a smaller than usual sibling pool. I do not get the impression BS is as difficult to get into as in the past.

We have a child there and have been very happy.
