Academics and Corporate World?

Kinda like telling yourself and your kids that although the Asian kids are beating their arses academically and giving them a run for their money in college admissions, they're not really happy beings and will never be able to compete with them once they're in corporate America. Oh the lies we tell ourselves in order to make ourselves feel better. |

This is all sooooo funny to me.
When white children are outperforming minorities, it's because Whites are better parents, more educated, push their children more, provide a better environment, and those minority parents and their children are _____________________. (You fill in the blank.) But fast forward several decades and Asians are mopping the floors academically with white bodies AND blocking them out of selective and ivy universities, it's because they learn by rote, are book smart at the expense of social skills and have tiger moms whose parenting skills are oooohhhhh soooooo wroooong. HA! White America HATES acknowledging they are the cat's meow. It reminds me of when black kids started taking up more seats than Whites thought they should at selective schools. It was because of Affirmative Action. Nobody can be perfect in this county except Whites. When Whites are on top, it's because they're doing everything right. When Others are on top, it's because of so much wrong. When will White America be able to see just how truly sick it is? |

White America does not excel via rote memorization. Corporate America realizes this. It seems you are mad because you can only succeed by rote memorization, and that only gets you so far, as is proven over and over again. "Dude, you mad?"

Neither does Asian America. BUT that's the lie White America tells itself to make itself feel better about being inferior. Ivy Leagues are bursting at the seams with Asians. And Ivies are anti-rote. You may learn multiplication tables by rote (like all Americans), but you do not learn all the intricacies needed to practice medicine and excel STEM fields that way. But keep telling yourself lies. And if you were intelligent enough to actually do a bit of research instead of quoting by rote ("Dude, you mad?") you'd know that Asians aren't clamoring for jobs in Corporate America, education or politics. If they were, they'd blow (White) Americans out of the water there too. By the way, your response sounds entirely juvenile and unintelligent. "Corporate America knows this." HA!!! All Corporate America knows is to get the best people into the jobs. They neither know or care how you learned your stuff--only that you did and have the degree to prove it. They also care that you can perform--with INTEGRITY--once you get there. Once White America shows over and over it is not capable of doing. The minute Asians set their eyes on the corporate world, look out! You're in trouble. YOU know it. And so does the rest of the world. |

Exactly! The truth is that Asians aren't hurting for anything. You don't see them making threads trying to convince themselves of their superiority, hoping others will come along and make them feel better about themselves. They live their lives, educate their families, and live happily ever after. It's (White) America that keeps looking over its shoulder, wondering where the Asians are and what they're doing. INSECURE, MUCH?
