| call the Midwife. I just watchedit and loved it. after that I watched the Miranda showwhich was a delightful introduction to British comedy.Miranda Hart played one of the characters in call the Midwife but it's a comedienne on real life. |

Thirding the rec for Justified. The dialogue is superb.
Also the BBC's Sherlock -- and I think the PP who mentioned "one where Holmes is a woman" might be referring to Elementary, where Watson is played by Lucy Liu & Holmes by Jonny Lee Miller. It's different from the BBC show -- more like a US procedural -- but also good. Finally, my husband and I have really enjoyed the first season of Sleepy Hollow. The premise is a little wild if you're not into SF/fantasy, but the writing is fun and the cast is strong. |
